Community Involvement

Reaching Out, Building Relationships, Changing Lives...

Our members are making a difference to the Brewerton Community and beyond.

So many people in today's world are hurting and in need. At Calvary Baptist, we work to address those needs by reaching out and inviting in. Using a combination of charitable giving, and free, family-friendly events, we give everyone in the local community an opportunity to share in God's abundance. Here are just some of the ways we're making a difference:

Fall Festival

Hayrides, pumpkins, and potluck! CBC's annual fall festival, held each year at Grace Farms in Central Square,  brings together young and old for fun and fellowship. Pick out a pumpkin, take a ride in the hay wagon, or just hang out by the food table. It's a great afternoon and all are welcome. This year's festival brought more more than 125 people.  Click here to view photos of the event.

Charitable Giving - Feeding Those in Need

The members of Calvary Baptist support local charities providing food to those in  to the Brewerton community.

Brewerton Food Pantry - Boxes of toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other non-food items that cannot be purchased with food stamps, as well as general food and snack items are collected at the church and delivered to the food pantry on a monthly basis.

Adopt a Family Food Drives - Members of the church "Adopt a Family" for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter by filling bags with food for a special gathering. These are delivered to the food pantry for distribution in the community.

Charitable Giving - Helping Those Who Spread the Word

Calvary Baptist members also support ministries whose primary objective is to evangelize the Word of God to those in need.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desparate situations worldwide through simple, gift-filled shoe boxes and evangelistic materials that tell the Good News of God's love. Shoe boxes are collected annually for this important ministry.
